Farewell to The Property Registry, hello to Teranet Manitoba

The Property Registry joined Teranet Inc. in 2014 and now we’re ready to take the last steps in that union.

On November 25, our operating name will be officially changing to Teranet Manitoba. We’re still providing excellent local client service and modern land titles and personal property registry service on behalf of the Government of Manitoba, but now we’re proud to be adopting the Teranet name—a world leader in statutory registry and value-added services and solutions.

What does that mean for you?

1. Update your bookmarks…

Many of you have asked us for a new website, so we’re particularly excited to announce that TeranetManitoba.ca will launch on November 25. You’ll find the same forms, fees, FAQs and other information on the site—but in a modern and easy-to-navigate design.

The Teranetmanitoba.ca homepage has been built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA international standard for Internet accessibility. It will look good on your computer screen, on your phone and on your tablet, and everyone will be able to access that essential information.

2. …and your address book!

Our email addresses will also be changing to @teranet.ca, in line with our new name. Beginning November 25 we’re saying goodbye to the old @tprmb.ca emails.

Our Manitoba Client Service Team will be reached at ClientService@teranet.ca. The land titles and personal property eReceipts and eNotifications will also come from that address, so make sure you add it to your safe-senders list.

3. Cheques should be made out to Teranet Manitoba

When it’s time to send us a cheque for your deposit account or a transfer tax payment, it should be made payable to Teranet Manitoba. Don’t worry if you already have a cheque in the mail; we’ll be able to accept it until the end of the year.

The same Land Titles Office and Personal Property Registry staff and services you’ve come to know

Don’t worry—the registries aren’t changing. Teranet Manitoba will continue to be the exclusive service provider for Manitoba’s Land Titles and Personal Property Registry. We take our trusted partnership with the Province of Manitoba very seriously, and all registry operations will continue to receive oversight from the Office of the Registrar-General.

We are continuously improving our services to better meet your needs and respond to your feedback and suggestions and are very excited to be able to bring you the modern, up-to-date website that you’ve been asking for.

Sincerely,

Dennis Barnhart General Manager, The Property Registry/Teranet Manitoba
