Public Land & Title Records
Anyone can search official land and property ownership records in Manitoba using Title Check, your online source of information for Manitoba’s Land Titles Registry. The types of information you can search include titles, instruments, and survey plans.
Title Check allows you to pay for transactions with a credit card (Mastercard or Visa). For the current transaction rates, please visit our fees page.
Search for a Title
To begin your search, you’ll need your title number. You can find this number on your Notice of Registration statement, property tax bill, or on an older copy of your Title.
You can also:
- Contact the City of Winnipeg Assessment and Taxation Department (for properties within the city)
- Search with the Government of Manitoba Property Assessment tool (for municipalities)
Please note that only electronic titles will appear in the search results. To obtain a deed or paper title, please submit a Service Request Form to our Client Service Team.
Search for an Instrument
To begin your search, you’ll need your registration number, also known as a document number or instrument number. You can find this number on your Notice of Registration statement, Status of Title, or on an older copy of your Title.
Search for a Survey Plan
To begin your search, you’ll need your plan number. You can find this number in the land index section of your Status of Title.
Please note that only your property boundaries will appear on a survey plan. To obtain a building location certificate, please contact a Manitoba Land Surveyor.
